QR for UX

Original post at Qrarts.com

Having trouble with image on the right, so I abandoned that direction, but it brings up the question of alignment and rotation.  I think this is well within EC ranges.  Suggestions ( besides using full square ? ).

Note: the one on the right does NOT work. Don’t get frustrated by trying. Have to tweak it.

thx pd

Alright, NeoReader rocks. Works like a charm on the right one!

Firstly, love the site, awesome awesome qr art work.

Secondly, i have been reading a lot of people complaining about QR Scanning issues.
The interesting thing is there are some apps which are far superior to others.

I can read the qr code on the right there in both ZXing Googles free reader as well as Denso Waves QRdeCoder.

I would say however there are tonnes which wont scan without something like Denso Waves QRdeCoder, for example the famous louis vitton qr code image.

That will not scan on almost anything except the Denso Wave scanner.

However, as you may realise not everyone has the same scanner so we still need to aim for the lowest common denominator.

Anyway thought id let you know that right hand version does scan on Google ZXing which is the heart of a lot of modern QR Scanners.
