RGB Concept QR mark

RGB separations on purpose

QR marks analyze the contrast between black and white. However, all our devices are setup to read RGB – why not exploit this to make better QR marks?

RGB builds to white (odd, but yes, so .. I guess my illustration is wrong ), but the lack of build would indicate black.

So, if we could engineer the camera class to separate out the colors, it could enable 3 times more data if you were overlapping 3 different codes!  I feel like this is a really big idea.

Please comment or give feedback if you know this is possible, or if you heard of anyone else doing research on this theory.

Thx. -pd
