Animated QR mark with Logo: a new approach

January 23, 2010 Leave a comment

I came up with the idea to rotate between QR codes of message X, by rotating through different versions of the QR code with an image damaging different parts of the 30% percent. This way, any picture taken of this code will be the correct code, despite the interference. Thus, the interference of the graphic makes the logo, and disturbs less data in the process. The human eye detects edges, and by altering where the edges are, it completes the picture. I think this can be done more elegantly, but this was my first test.

Typography Experiment 2

Amazing what you can do with another 2 hours.

I did made a fatal error when I did not precompose, which means I could not control zoom/camera cropping as easily as I could have. Know what to change next time.  But, overall, not bad for a 1 day (5 hour) project.
